The Hardy Clip 175 Standing Seam Panel is a premium hidden-fastener roofing system designed for strength, performance, and a sleek architectural appearance. Secured with clips rather than exposed fasteners, this panel allows for natural thermal movement, helping to minimize oil canning and extend roof life.
Compared to the Legacy Hardy Clip profile, the Hardy Clip 175 features a taller rib height and narrower seam, delivering a stronger panel and a more contemporary look. Panels are available in 13-7/8″ or 17-7/8″ widths and can be roll-formed in steel up to 22 gauge for added durability and rigidity.
Unlike traditional nail-fin standing seam panels commonly used in residential applications, the Hardy Clip 175 utilizes a 1-3/4″ integral snap-lock seam with clip attachment, allowing the panel to expand and contract freely with temperature changes. For maximum performance and reduced oil canning, upgrading to 24 or 22 gauge steel is recommended.
The Hardy Clip 175 is suitable for installation on roof slopes greater than 3/12, making it an excellent choice for both residential and light commercial projects seeking a high-end standing seam solution.
