Online Store Shipping and Return Policy

Handling Time:

All items that show the amount of product in stock (ie: “15 in stock”) are shipped/in stock at either our Burton or Grand Blanc, MI location. Most orders are shipped within one day of payment being received. Some items like steel roofing panels, steel trims, and Hardy Rib Snow Rail may have additional lead times. Those additional lead times will be stated on the individual products page.

Allocation Limits on Items:

Due to the lead times and allocation limits some of our items are experiencing, we have put in place our own allocation amounts on these items. These items when selected will only allow so many of a certain product to be added to the cart per order. Additionally, the allocation amount is per customer/ship-to address/bill to address per month. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any order, not within allocation compliance. We are sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.

Backordered Items:

Small Items– Some small items may become back-ordered. If the item is eligible for back order you will be notified prior to purchasing. Items that are back-ordered typically take an additional 2-10 days to ship from the factory/supplier. If this time frame increases we will notify you as soon as possible.

Metal Trims 10′ and 12′ lengths– Metal trims that are back-ordered/made to order will be manufactured within 1-5 days of your order being placed. If you placed an order with metal panels your trims would be complete at the same time your panels would be completed.

Drop Shipped Items:

Some items we offer are drop shipped directly from the brands we distribute for. If the item is drop shipped then it will state that on the items page in some form (ie: Special order or Drop Shipped Item). These items are also non-returnable as they are special order and are not stocked by our company.  Items that are drop shipped typically take 1-10 days to ship from the factory/supplier. In most cases, it is within 5 days. If the supplier notifies us that this time frame will be past 10+ days we will notify you as soon as possible and ask how you would like us to proceed with your order. (Options may include waiting for it to process or canceling for a full refund.)

Shipping Method:

For the 48 contiguous states, we ship our products through USPS, UPS, FedEx, or LTL Freight. This depends on the weight and size of your order.

In some cases when an order weighs over 150 pounds or is longer than 48″ in length, we may call to inform you that we need to ship your items LTL freight. This would be at no additional cost to you. LTL freight will only be available to orders shipped to a commercial business with a loading dock or forklift.

Some items are for in-store pickup only. These items will clearly state they are for pick-up only.

If you are in need of MMMS delivery service for a metal panel order, you will need to contact customer service and purchase your materials in-store or over the phone. Online orders are not eligible for MMMS delivery once placed.

Shipping Rates:

Shipping rates from USPS or UPS are calculated directly from the shipping company using our account rates. This ensures we can offer the lowest shipping cost to you.

All free or flat rate shipping options are for the 48 contiguous United States. Shipments going to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada will be priced based on our USPS or UPS account rates.

If we discover our online shipping calculator has significantly overcharged you due to a calculation error we will issue a return for the overcharged amount.

Economy Shipping 2-7 business days (Shipped via USPS, UPS Surepost*, or UPS)

Standard Shipping 1-5 business days (Shipped via USPS, UPS Surepost*, or UPS)

UPS Ground 1-4 business days

UPS 2nd Day Air 2 business days, not including weekends. Order must be placed before 12 pm EST M-F.

UPS 3 Day Select 3 business days, not including weekends. Order must be placed before 12 pm EST M-F.

UPS Overnight 1 business day, not including weekends. Order must be placed before 12 pm EST M-F.

LTL Freight 1-5 business days, not including weekends. (Estimated and may be extended although unlikely)

*UPS Surepost is a service for lighter weight packages that are transported by UPS to your local post office and then final delivery is made by USPS during your normal mail delivery.

International Shipments to supported Countries*:

Countries/areas we ship to currently: Canada, Australia, and Great Britain  

GlobalPost Standard International- estimated 4-20 business days. GlobalPost shipments can be tracked here.

USPS Priority Mail International– estimated arrival within 4-15 business days.

UPS Worldwide Expedited- estimated arrival within 2-8 business days.

*Important Note: The purchaser is responsible for any brokerage, duties, or taxes assessed by local agencies for all methods of international shipping on our site. None of the fees that may be assessed will be collected by Mid Michigan Metal Sales LLC. Please consult your local or federal authorities to determine if you will be assessed the fees listed above.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the products purchased from our site will be in accordance with all local laws and regulations. The information regarding the products including product manuals, instructions, safety labels, etc. may not be in the language of the destination country.

In-Store Pickup:

Some items are for in-store pickup only. These items will clearly state they are for pick-up only.

PAYMENTS

Payment methods:

We offer two payment methods for purchases made on our online store. Some products including hand tools can only be purchased using the PayPal payment method.

Bill To Address:

To ensure we can continue to offer the lowest pricing and shipping to our customers, all Bill To addresses must match the billing address of the Credit card used at the time of purchase or your card will be declinded at checkout.


 

RETURNS

Returns:

  • All returns must be made within 30 days of receiving the item. 
  • You will need to submit a return request below before sending your items back or the return may be rejected. 
  • All returns must be tendered to the shipping company within 7 days of when your return is approved or within 37 days of original delivery. Return shipping is to be paid by the purchaser*. 
  • There are no returns/exchanges on metal roofing/siding panels or special order products. 
  • All returned/exchanged items must be in new/unused condition. There is a 25% restocking fee for returned/exchanged metal trims. 
  • Original shipping cost is non-refundable. 

*If the item was received damaged or is defective. We will send a replacement item and return postage for the item(s) received or you have the option to return the item and cancel the order. In either case stated above, we will provide the return shipping label with postage. Please attach photos for the above claims.

Wrong Item Received:

Although this does not happen often, sometimes mistakes do happen. We are all human. If you received an incorrect item please document this with pictures of that product and packaging. Then please submit the form below. 

The process below will outline how a “Wrong item received” claim is handled: 

  1. We will need to complete a return of the incorrect product you received. 
  2. We will provide a prepaid shipping label for the product to be returned to us. In most cases, we will have it shipped back through USPS so that the product can be picked up by your USPS mail carrier from your home or business. 
  3. Once the package arrives back to us, we can either issue a refund or send out the original product that was ordered. (Customers choice)

Note: If you are looking for a replacement and do not wish to wait for the original package to arrive back to us before a replacement is sent, you will need to place a new order. Once your original order is returned we will process the return including a refund of the original shipping cost if any from your original order.

This is not the quantity of items you are returning. This would be how many separate sku's/items to return.

This will be verifed by the tracking number that was provided for your order shipment.
You will receive an email within one business day with information regarding where to send the package(s) and other important information regarding your return.

As the buyer you are responsible for the return shipping cost as stated in our return policy.* We recommend that you use insured and tracked shipping.
