Easy install, works great here in Maine

Last year I installed some of these to cover entrances and they worked great. This year I purchased more to cover more areas. The instructions are clear, installation is easy, results are just what I hoped.

Snow Defender 6500

Bought 20 of the snow defenders last fall as a test run on our metal roof. Seemed to do the job for us well enough to buy another 38 this year. Will have a better idea of the results after this coming winter. Good product and I'm sure they will do the job.

Snow guards

I have just installed the snow guards prior to winter, we have not had snow yet to test them out, if you wist to resend me this review around late Jan I would be more than happy to let you know how well they actually work?

One size fits all?

I am a homeowner not a roofer, so my opinion is based upon one roof. Quality of construction and paint is good, but I am learning that standing seams come in many sizes. The 6500 is adaptable, but once installed don’t expect for them to be centered on the seam. Probably no one will notice. I also question whether the upper end of throat at the higher set screw deforms at 220 inch-pounds of torque. it seems to by appearance but I did not check with a gauge.
