Traditionally K-style gutter systems are made from thin aluminum. If you are living in snow country when your steel roof sheds the snow it will also take the thin aluminum gutters with it. When you upgrade to a steel gutter system that problem is no more. Steel gutter systems have been used on commercial and industrial buildings for decades. Now you can get the same strength as a commercial or industrial gutter system with the look of a traditional K-style gutter system.

Important notes:

*Lead time for shipments- Due to an ever-fluctuating inventory our average completion for an order to ship is 3-5 days. Depending on the current stock on hand this lead time may need to be increased. If there is a need for us to extend the lead time you will be made aware as soon as possible.

Shipping- Depending on the size of your order will determine what shipping options we can use to ship your order. Most coil orders over 100′ will need to be shipped LTL. If LTL freight is needed and there is an additional cost to the freight you were quoted at checkout you will be notified prior to your order being processed.

A little thin for gutters but we made it work

The color matched but the gauge was pretty thin for gutters. We were able to make it work.

We are sorry to hear you feel 29 gauge is a little thin for gutters, but we are glad you were able to make them work. Since steel has a higher tensile strength than aluminum, most K-style steel gutter machines can only form in 29 gauge (.015') or 26 gauge (.0185') steel. Even fewer machines in 24 gauge steel, as thicker steel would not form correctly through most machines due to the tensile strength of steel. Although Aluminum coil is standard in .019', .027', and .032', the tensile strength of aluminum is much lower, which is why a thicker aluminum is needed to achieve even a remotely same amount of strength as steel. A gutter formed in 29 gauge steel will be stronger than a gutter formed in .032' aluminum due to the tensile strength the steel gutter has.
